IT'S OKAY TO NOT BE OKAY inspired tale : SUPERHERO

 SUPERHERO

Long long time ago , there lived a girl , in an isolated castle located away from the neighborhood.  She was very shy and lonely. She always felt deprived of love , care and attention. Subtle and meek in nature, she always carried an inferiority complex .

One day she came across a TV show , in which a masked man would solve everyone's problems and make their ending happy. 

The masked man called himself "Superman ". 

Looking at him the girl thought " To become happy i also need a superman ".  The girl decided to find her superman.

The next day , 

The little girl watched the TV show again , in order to find the Superman's identity.

She watched the show on the third day as well.

This went on for days. But the masked Superman wouldn't reveal his identity.

The girl was all flustered and upset and thought she could never be happy. 

But finally, on that day the superman removed his mask , to the girl's surprise the superman was faceless!!

She was highly confused and exasperation began to seep in , just then the superman said

 " Yes! I don't have a face, because I can be anyone.. i could be your friend , parent , teacher , an animal ,a soft toy  or even a mere stranger. It is so because , we all are capable of making each other happy .."

The message was well understood by the little girl. She began her quest to find her superhero.

The same evening , 

She went to her parents and told them she was lonely. Her parents played with her till night and concluded the night with a bedtime story. She was happy and thought that she found her superhero.

The next morning ,

her parents left home for work early in the morning. She again felt empty on the inside and decided to wait for the evening.

She was roaming around the castle all alone , and was completely bored. 

She sat near the window and within no time got immersed into the picturesque view of her garden. 

She saw a beautiful butterfly sitting on flower and followed her to the garden. She felt peaceful , the pleasant and warm  weather lifted up her soul. She played in the garden , followed the ants, tried to catch the butterfly and looked at the beautiful blue sky to her heart's content. 

She plucked a flower , admired it and later went home and kept it in her drawer.

"Oh yes ! I found my superhero . Now i can be happy forever" she thought. 

Soon the sun drowned and it was pitch dark , she was all alone and her parents were late today. 

She could no longer see the beautiful garden and it felt like the dark night was choking her soul. 

To avoid the solitude, grabbed the flower from her drawer. But , the flower was withered and dried. It's petals fell off.

Just like the withered flower her happiness also withered away. She wasn't happy anymore.

The next day , 

She decided to go and make friends. 

"Maybe they could become my superhero. Though they ignore me , but even i didn't ever wholeheartedly try to start a conversation. "

She went to the kids in the neighborhood ,but like always they ignored her , moreover they bullied her and told her she wasn't like them. 

The little girl had had enough .

" What bad did i do to you!!?!! ".

With teary eyes and trembling voice she said "I also deserve to be happy. I deserve respect too. I am as good as any of you , then why you dislike me !!". 

She ran away with tears rolling down her cheeks.

She went straight to her home and locked herself in her room and started sobbing. But now she felt light , as if a burden was removed from her shoulder.

She looked at her sobbing-self in the mirror, but she didn't pity herself, instead she was proud. She was feeling good because she stood up for herself. She felt happy , because she expressed herself for the first time , she defended her self respect and for the first time she didn't let others make her feel inferior.

The little girl observed herself in the mirror and discovered the superhero she has been looking for was always with her.

She finally found her Superhero in herself.
